太仓市位于江苏省东南部，长江口南岸。东濒长江，与崇明岛隔江相望，南临上海宝山区、嘉定区，西连昆山市，北接常熟市。
Taicang is in Southeastern Jiangsu Province, on the s South bank of the Yangtze River estuary. It is under the jurisdiction of Suzhou in Jiangsu Province. With the Yangtze River to the East and Shanghai’s Chongming Island across the river, Taicang borders the Baoshan and Jiading districts of Shanghai to the South, Kunshan City to the West and Changshu City to the North.
